Get your funk on!

Get your funk on!

If you're a fan of Rhythm Heaven, we've got the events for you.

For all of you Rhythm Heaven fans out there, Nintendo is throwing a few Rhythm Heaven events today and tomorrow. They'll be setting up these Rhythm Heaven 'lounges' at various major hubs across the US.

You can check out the specific dates and locations below as well as a short snippet from the official press release promoting the events.

Once they arrive, consumers will feel like they’ve been transported into a rhythm “heaven” as they are greeted by real-life characters from the game, such as a ninja, rocker or scientist, amid a backdrop of funky DJ music. Some lucky consumers will win special prizes, and everyone will walk away with a fun gift.

If only I were still in Boston; nothing comes to my new locale!

At least I got to see the Mario Kart Wii tour-bus while I was still there, and get my corny license made. Luckily we had to take my girlfriend's boss's sons to see the event, so I was protected from any "you're too old for this" looks. Actually, one of the little kids thought he was too old for it :/

Hah, I live in Melrose, about 30 minutes away from Boston. I could be there. And, yes, will said Ms. Knowles be at any of these, specifically the Boston one ;) then I'd be sold. Lol :D

@theblackdragon
The current trend of celebrities playing games have no influence on whether I actually buy a game but I have seen it generate sales for underappreciated games like Professor Layton and the Curious Village. A game like Rhythm Heaven needs this kind of push otherwise it may get overlooked the same way Elite Beat Agents did. Most of us on here are intelligent enough to know the good games from the bad but unfortunately the same cannot be said about the general public. I do see your point but I also feel these commercials are effective and serve a purpose.

@WolfRamHeart: I am sick to death of seeing that commercial at least once during every commercial break in the mid-to-late afternoon (when the kids get out of school, i guess) and then off and on during the evening. i see what you're saying (they're for the unwashed masses, not those who actually research their games before buying them), but I wish the stations running the ads would at least space them out a little more. :(

Yeah, I hate how she keeps doing the WAAAH! thing along with the game... it's so stupid. No one would be caught dead doing that! But I guess if it somehow curbs the sales upwards then I guess it works.

Oh and no event in Dallas? C'mon Nintendo what's gotten into you?

I know, even Dallas got left out. :)

I'm a little surprised Chicago was left IN. It seemed to me that Nintendo was leaving it out of some of its more recent tours.

I hate living in Maryland! In Maryland I only ever got to go to the 20th Anniversary Pokemon Thing! Yeah, that's about how much love Maryland gets.

I played the Rhythm Heaven demo on the Nintendo Channel and its really fun! I'll definitely pick this one up, but to bad the event isn't in Califronia.
