As I have discussed the flaws of the Wii U, in part one I will do an updated one correcting things I got wrong. Firstly the Wii was an amazing success bringing NINTENDO into the market (again), things were going amazing till the WII U, one of their worst selling consoles. Besides from the game boys etc. The Wii (which I have) is personally in my opinion an amazing item. It has classic games and it was revolutionary! But the Wii U, did not go as well at all. People got upset, there was one difference, ONE DIFFERENCE. A mini-screen, A MINISCREEN?!
it was not worth it, but it is worth mentioning some people did like it but majority didn’t. I think that 50 USD is a fair difference (sourced from google) but people were not gonna buy it over a little mini-screen. What do you think about it?

The improvement of the Wii U over the original Wii was more than just the gamepad. It also featured better quality graphics and more memory. Sadly, the "miniscreen" also offered much more (e.g., a camera), but these features were underutilized or even ignored by most developers.

Nintendo's biggest fail with the Wii U was bad marketing....beginning with the name that made people think it was nothing more than Wii Plus (akin to a PS4 plus).

The idea that it was just a Wii with a screen was certainly a widespread one, but people couldn't have been more wrong about it.

It had a triple-core CPU clocked at nearly twice the speed, a vastly more capable GPU that was superior in most respects to the PS3 and 360, and it also had vastly more RAM and flash storage on board.

However, even with all that, there was still a big gap in performance between it and the PS4/XBOne, so it's not like Nintendo could really have marketed it as a gaming powerhouse. I've a feeling that they'd have been damned whichever way they pushed it.

Its hard to follow up a sucess with a second sucess. Especially when you name it the same name, further confusing people.
