Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: How To Defeat Boost Guardian

Welcome all bounty hunters to our Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Boost Guardian Boss Fight guide.

The bosses so far haven’t been too much to handle, but the Boost Guardian may prove to be the first major challenge of the game.

How to defeat the Boost Guardian

It will use the Boost Ball ability against you by changing into a ball and charging around the area like a pinball. While in this form, a few dark turrets will spawn; you can shoot these to damage it while it rolls around.

Sometimes it will turn into a puddle of dark liquid, which will damage you; keep your distance by jumping over it and changing into your ball form. Using morph ball bombs to damage it in this form will make it revert to its solid form, where you can properly damage it using Super Missiles and Light Beam blasts.

Reward for defeating the Boost Guardian

It may take a few attempts due to the sheer amount of things that can damage you in this fight. Stay the course, managing your positioning and damaging at every opportunity, because beating the Boost Guardian will reward you with the Boost Ball Suit Upgrade.
